A Call for Help

Hi friends,

As the standoff between striking teachers and the government continues (and in some cases intensifies) the real victims continue to be the learners themselves.

As many of you are aware Calvary supports IkamvaYouth, the volunteer-driven academic support programme in Ivory Park providing supplementary tutoring and career guidance to grade 10-12 learners from surrounding township schools. Please consider joining us on Saturdays to tutor learners who are keen to study but their classrooms are currently empty. At present our learners are also attending during the week to work in small groups in a effort to ensure they improve their understanding. This is a call for help.
